Charlevoix Youth Soccer would like to thank Jessica Perry and Seth Thorson for their contribution through CYSA Board of Directors and the program as a whole. We appreciate your support of our local youth during your time on the Board!

We are always looking for new Board Members! There is no need to know the game of soccer, but just a passion for helping support our local youth. Send us a message if you have questions about this opportunity! Current open positions include Vice President, Travel Soccer Coordinator, Sponsorship Chair, Website & Marketing Chair, and Assistant Rec League Coordinator. If you have questions about what these positions entail, please reach out or join us at a Board Meeting. Meetings take place the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM during the season (earlier in the off-season).

Cost is $160/player for Fall 2023 OR $300/player for Fall 2023 & Spring 2024. JERSEYS: Cost for jersey bundle is $70 that includes 2 game jerseys, 1 practice jersey, 1 pair of shorts, and 1 pair of socks. You may use these same jerseys until your child out-grows it. Cost only applies when you need to size up.

WHO: All children, U9-U14 (ages 8 through 13 years), who are interested in a little bit more of a competitive level of soccer compared to Rec League. (Children ages 7, who turn 8 by December 31st, also qualify!) WHAT: Travel Soccer is for those players who want a little bit more than Rec League offers in regards to skill development & competition. WHEN: The 6-8 week season runs September through late October. Practice days vary based on Coach availability. Girls play on Saturdays. Boys & Co-Ed Teams play on Sundays. Coaches will reach out to contact you when they are ready to schedule practices. WHERE: All practices take place at Shanahan Field, 12491 Waller Road. Games vary season to season based on which towns sign up & how competitions are scheduled. We have an occasional home game and travel anywhere from Petoskey / Harbor Springs to Grayling / Cadillac. If you need assistance with carpooling to games, we can make that happen - just let us know!

SPONSORSHIP: If you, or a company you know, are willing to sponsor Charlevoix Youth Soccer, that would also be fabulous! Though most of our sponsors choose to sponsor a Rec team in the fall, we have opportunities for year-round sponsorship which includes having your name on a Full or Half 2.5'x5' Banner. Reach out with any questions! We rely on our community to help support CYSA & our children! CONCESSIONS: The concession stand is currently closed. If you or someone you know is interested in facilitating the operations of the Concession Stand, please reach out. We would love to see this as a working part of our program, but currently do not have the volunteers to make it happen. Concessions during travel seasons are very occasional.

Cost is $45/player through June 30th. After June 30th, prices go up to $65.

WHO: All children, ages 5 & Up, ALL skill levels welcome & encouraged! (Children ages 4 who turn 5 by December 31st also qualify!) WHAT: Recreational-style soccer - for fun & movement! We received a lot of positive feedback regarding the training sessions last year (2022), so we plan to offer those again. For the first several weeks, one evening per week will be training and the other evening will be a game. During training, more experiences coaches will be leading the volunteer coaches & players in some drills & training to advance their skills. We saw a great improvement in skill development with the training sessions when compared to games alone. WHEN: The 6-week season is mid-August through September. Days are Tuesdays & Thursdays, generally a mix of 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM trainings/games. Coaches should receive their team assignments at the end of July and your player's coach should be reaching out to you early August. Generally, Coaches will run 1-2 practices based on their personal availability. Coaches determine those dates/times and will let you know. The season then starts August 22nd and runs through September 28th. WHERE: All practices, trainings, games, and meetings take place at Shanahan Field, 12491 Waller Road.

COACHES: If you are at all able to Coach your child's team, as always, your help is appreciated and we NEED you in order to make this happen! Volunteer Coaches do NOT need a lot of soccer knowledge.

SPONSORSHIP: If you, or a company you know, are willing to sponsor a team, that would also be fabulous! CONCESSIONS: The concession stand will be open this season serving pizza, popcorn, ice cream, treats, beverages, and more! Our concession stand is cash-only at this time, and we appreciate your understanding!
