Travel Soccer
July 29, 2020 - For the health and safety of our players, spectators, and communities and under the guidance and interpretation of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer Executive Order 2020-110 (COVID-19) (June 1, 2020) – Specifically section 14, we are currently unable to safely conduct our Charlevoix Youth Soccer sponsored soccer activities, including our Rec league and Fall Travel Soccer.
The entire state remains in the MSYSA's Return to Training 5th Stage. This means that only physically distanced practices can take place. Contact drills, small-sided play, scrimmages, friendlies, games, tournaments, etc., cannot currently take place or be organized by a coach/club.
The soccer board has voted to cancel our 2020 Rec League but we will still hold out hope for a Fall Travel Season with the understanding that if full practices and games have not been given the green light to start by September 15 the fall travel soccer season will be cancelled.

The Travel League runs in the spring and fall with sign ups in January and July. Teams are made up of age appropriate and gender specific children, with more experienced volunteer coaches. The teams will travel to local communities and play on spring or fall weekends and may choose to participate in tournaments. This league focuses on the player who wants a more competitive atmosphere than a recreational league offers. All of the core elements still exist, with education and fun being stressed. This is not a tryout or premier league and participation is on a first come first served basis. The number of teams offered each year is based on interest in a given age group and coach availability.
CYS Travel Soccer Details
2020 CYS SPRING SEASON
SEASON CANCELED. STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY.
DATES: End of April to the Beginning of June.
GAMES: Saturdays for girls. Sunday afternoons for boys and co-ed teams. 6-8 weeks of games.
LOCATIONS: Depend on the towns that put teams together. Past locations range from Petoskey/Harbor Springs to Cadillac.
ELIGIBILITY: U9 to U18 Boys and U9 to U14 Girls.
Teams will be formed based on the registrations in each birth year.
COST- $75.00 per player

The Charlevoix Youth Soccer Travel Teams are part of the Northern Michigan Soccer Alliance.
