Recreational Soccer

The Recreation League runs from August-October with registration in June. Children are placed on community sponsored teams and learn to play soccer from parent volunteer coaches. The teams are co-ed and take a recreational approach. Team ages run from U-6 to U-14. Since this is a recreational league, field sizes and number of participants will vary per year. All games are played at Shanahan Field.

Also, the below Skills Training Video was created for Charlevoix Youth Soccer by the coaches at the Massive Soccer Camp held at Shanahan Fields. The training session can last up to 1 hour and you can accommodate 10-40 players in the same session. Each station lasts 1 minute for each player. The coach can observe and help multiple players throughout. Kids love it! Equipment needed: 1 ball between 2 players, cones, stopwatch, pen and papers for recording scores. Small prize for winning pair.
