With its roots dating back to 1986, Charlevoix Youth Soccer (CYS) has been promoting youth soccer in the Charlevoix area for over 35 years.
We are a soccer program under the direction of the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) that encourages exercise, education, individual growth and fun.
Our Philosophy and Guidance is from USA Soccer to support the growth and improvement of grassroots soccer.

2023-2024 AGE MATRIX
All soccer clubs in the US have switched to birth year to determine what age group a player plays in. For instance a player born in the year 2014 will play in the U10 age group for the 2023-24 season. Also note that the format “U followed by age” really means younger than that age. For example, U8 should be read as "Under 8."
Due to the sign up numbers of players, we may need to combine divisions to create enough teams to play multiple games per week. We have combined the U7 & U8, U9 & U10, and the U11 & U12 age groups.

LOST & FOUND
We will constantly have items that have been lost or found on the fields. We keep them in a bin located in the concession stand. Items will remain for 90 days. All unclaimed items in good condition will be donated to local charities after 90 days.
CYS FIELDS
Charevoix Youth Soccer outdoor training practices and recreational games are played at Shanahan Field in Charlevoix.
Indoor practices and Futsal take place at one of the Charlevoix Public Schools.
Travel Soccer games take place in northern Michigan, and are dependent on where teams are established each season. They may be located in Charlevoix, Petoskey, Traverse City, Cadillac, Grayling, Gaylord, Kalkaska or other nearby locations.
