Charlevoix Youth Soccer
Spring 2022 Travel Soccer Season
We are in the early stages of putting together teams for Spring Travel Soccer for Charlevoix and we are looking for players interested in outdoor travel soccer. Travel soccer teams are the next step up in the competition and level of play from our fall rec league and coaches will field the best players to compete and win as often as possible.
Games are typically played on Saturdays for girls and Sunday afternoons for boys and co-ed teams. They start as soon as fields are cleared from snow - around the 2nd or 3rd weekend of April. The season runs 6 - 8 weeks until the 1st week of June. We will normally schedule 2 games per weekend for each team, and we typically schedule to play 4 - 6 weekends. We have both home and away games and the travel is normally to Petoskey/Harbor Springs/Boyne City, but it depends on the towns who put teams together. The farthest we will travel is Cadillac. The cost is $100.00 per player and you must register online at: https://system.gotsport.com/programs/3084C7647?reg_role=player
Teams will be formed based how many players we have signed up from each birth year, but we normally create teams in the U10, U12, and U14 divisions. Please consider joining a travel team and register your child by Tuesday March 1st so we can put together our rosters. Please forward this to anyone else who may be interested. Questions, please contact Tim McClure by call or text at 231.459.6957
Points of emphasis from the MSYSA regarding Covid-19 Safety Measures-From 01/19/22 MSYSA Communication:
MSYSA is not requiring athletes, team officials, referees, or spectators to wear facial coverings during MSYSA affiliated activities. However, according to CDC guidelines, participants should wear a mask for the 10 days following an exposure to COVID-19 (or for the 5 days following isolation) or are encouraged not to participate. Further guidance can be found in the MSYSA return-to-play (RTP) chart. Please also be aware that indoor gyms and/or indoor facilities, etc., may be subject now, or in the future, to local health department (LHD) orders/requirements, or have masking policies of their own, that could potentially apply to participants, team officials, referees and/or spectators.
